Ettan Dige® -System
The proteomics field has had an enormous impact on drug development at ZAFES.
The proteomics core facility, which employs the recently established Ettan Dige®
-System will help to characterize drug action at a cellular level and to identify proteins
whose expression is altered in response to drugs. More specifically, proteomics tools can also
be used for the detection of new biomarkers and for the identification of targets and offtargets
of drugs by activity-based probes in conjunction with affinity-chromatography. The combination of
the Ettan Dige® -System and MS/MS will be very helpful in the identification of drug-induced
posttranslational modifications of proteins.
