The
Institutes for Pharmacological
Chemistry, Pharmacological Technology,
Pharmacological Biology and
Pharmacological Sciences are
all members in this postgraduate
council founded in 1995. Professor
Dr. Walter E. Müller
serves as the speaker for this
postgraduate council. The topics
are receptor based drug research
in neurological dysfunctions.
There are 11 sub-projects including
(1) muscarin agonist McN-A-343
analogues: development of M1
selective agonists and antagonists
(Prof. Dr. Günter Lambrecht);
(2) anti-muscarinic effects
of drugs on Morbus Parcinson
therapy (Prof. Dr. Günter
Lambrecht);
(3) combination therapy including
anti-sense; (4) anti-cancer
therapy with combinations of
anti-sense oligo- nucleotides
and steroid receptor binding
photo therapeutics (Prof. Dr.
Manfred Schubert-Zsilavec);
(5) chiral anti-muscarinic drugs
for the classification of the
muscarin receptors; (6) expression
of NMDA-receptors in eukaryotic
cells for the development of
functional NMDA receptor ligand
assays; (7) NMDA-anti-sense
oligo-nucleotides; (8) steroid
and folate receptor binding
photo therapeutics (Prof. Dr.
Manfred Schubert-Zsilavec);
(9) Regulation of the expression
of genes involved in inflammation
via the nuclear receptor RORalpha
(Prof. Dr. Dieter Steinhilber);
(10) structure-effect relationship
of chiral and anit-chiral dimethinden-analogs
on the muscarin receptor sub-types
(Prof. Dr. Günther Lambrecht);
(11) Investigation of the expression
patterns of the 5’-lipoxygenase
(Prof. Dr. Dieter Steinhilber) |
