Our research
focuses on the central nervous
system. Brain related disorders
especially Anxiety, Depression
and Dementia are highly complex.
Understanding of disease causalities
and elucidation of agents’ mode
of action are our challenges.
To accomplish this mission
the research team consists
of pharmacists, biochemists,
biologists, food-chemists and
nutritionists. They merge their
multidisciplinary knowledge
to define solutions in cell
death mechanisms, oxidative
stress, signal-transduction
processes and membrane biology.
Our approach involves different
disease related in vivo and
in vitro test systems. It is
our goal to elaborate new drug
targets for the treatment of
Anxiety, Depression and Dementia.
