The group of Prof. Dr. Steinhilber focuses on the elucidation of mechanisms which are involved in inflammatory diseases and pain. The studies are done on DNA and Protein level, both under structural aspects (identification of DNA sequences/ proteins) and functional points of view (regulation of DNA transcription/ protein activity).
