The Institute
of Neuroradiology offers a wide
range of diagnostic and therapeutic
options for diseases of the
nervous system and of the head
and neck region. We work closely
with the departments of neurosurgery,
neurology, neuropaediatrics,
psychiatry, orthopaedics and
other specialities of head and
neck diseases. The primary tool
for the investigation of neurological
diseases is Magnetic Resonance
Imaging (MRI). It is able to
measure different physiological
parameters in a non-invasive
manner, e.g. cerebral metabolism,
neuronal activity, cerebral
microstructure and connectivity,
angiography and micro-perfusion.
In addition, two very high-field
MR scanners (3 tesla) are available
at our institute.
