The institute of food chemistry
at the Goethe University of
Frankfurt holds one of oldest
chairs of this branch in Germany
(since 1920) and is the only
food chemistry training center
in Hesse.
The primary research main emphases
are authenticity and biogenesis
of natural compounds, development
of chiral stationary phases
for chromatography, stable isotope
analysis and therapy accompanying
analytics of inherited metabolic
deseases.
