The Georg-Speyer-Haus was established in 1906 in Frankfurt / Main as a private foundation. The mission of the Institute is defined by its history, its legal status and its connection to the scientific community of Frankfurt. The first priority is internationally competitive research in the areas of tumor biology and the biology of infectious diseases. In addition, the Georg-Speyer-Haus is involved in teaching efforts and the translation of basic insights into therapeutic applications. It is connected to the University of Frankfurt via a cooperation agreement.
