Coordination Center for Clinical Studies (KKS)
Heidelberg and Mainz

>

The Coordination Center for Clinical Studies (KKS), at the medicinal faculties of the Universities of Heidelberg and Mainz, helps to improve the infrastructure, the processes and the quality of clinical studies. With the aid of funding by the BMBF along with the help of the corresponding medicinal faculty, the KKS were able to establish a professional study organization and an efficient research study network involving clinics, hospitals and doctor's practices. Competent and experienced coworkers support clinical studies starting with the design, the execution, the evaluation, and ending with the report. Doctors, study groups, the industry (pharma, biotech, medicinal product producers) and Contract Research Organisations (CROs) can use and profit from their assistance.

Both KKS (Heidelberg and Mainz) are audited and evaluated by independent BMBF experts. They control a funded pediatric module for drug studies in the pediatric research.

The twelve KKS of Germany work together in the KKS-AG network, containing five pediatric modules in a network with specialized expertise for pediatric drug studies (PAED-Net and cooperate institution)
